I believe Twisted Kites became REM and Rain became Oasis (named after the Beatles song).
Yeah, the Quarry Men IS The Beatles.

I am only going to guess at a couple of theses but I think that Twisted kites became The Inspiral Carpets and I'm pretty sure that Rain became Oasis
