well do i have to add them or they are going to add themselves in my profile and how can i be a fan of someone.

Well, you can't really add fans, when they post you as a contact in their profile, they become your fan. You can check your fans whenever you want at the bottom of your Q&A page! To add a contact, simply find their profile on Answers, and click "Add to Contacts" above their name. You can add as many contacts as you want, but remember: you will show up as their fan on your contact's page!

Ya take a piece of paper and you fold one edge, then ya fold it the other way, then ya fold it like you did the first time, and you keep foldin and foldin till whatcha got is a FAN. If ya swoosh it back and forth in front of your nose, you can FEEL THE WIND!!!!
