Some high schools teach Russian, but most do not. If there is an area that you want to live in then you can send a resume there with your qualifications and if they have a Russian program then they mail call you, or if they wish to start a program then they can call you.

To teach in high school you will need to be certified; that is have a license and a degree. To teach at the college level you will need a degree.

More and more Americans are adopting from Russia. This could generate more interest in the language. You may want to point that out as an important part of adding Russian to the list of languages that students can choose from. I know several kids that were adopted from Russia just in my school alone.

In addition, their parents may wish to learn some Russian and may be interested in taking evening classes at the university or even privately.

Check College websites, submit applications to the college boards in various cities. It really isn't in demand at high school level, but in colleges the positions are hard to fill with qualified people.
