I am wanting to set up a school in a poor area where children don't get educated as there are no schools or anything like that, can anyone help with where to start, like websites or what areas of countries need help the most.

Any ideas are appreciated.

I myself have no sound knowledge where to go to inquire, but I think if you contact the UN Office in New Zealand, that they can give you informations where schools are needed most. I did read some of the answers and I'm sorry for some of the replies. don't get discouraged. Go ahead with your intention, which I think is very noble. Good luck...................

I don't think someone who can't spell country should be starting a school.
Also, the only thing under New Zealand is dirt, bedrock and magma.

Why are you worried about another country, We have a need for this help in the USA and I care a lot more about us than some country that is happy the way they are.

PLEASE DON'T. PLEASE DON'T COME HERE, because no matter how well placed your intentions are, YOU are the problem. PLEASE leave us alone, and allow us to help ourselves. I'm BEGGING YOU.

Thanks for the thought though, and God bless.

PS: "they're happy where they are?" TYPICAL American ignorance and utter stupidity. But yes, DO sort yourselves out in the US because you've got SERIOUS problems.
