There are a no. of methods or ways to meditate.
But the following is the simplest , and good for the beginners.
I hope it helps u and many more aspirers of meditation.

Choose a well ventilated rooom and sit relaxed either on the ground on a mat/carpet or in a chair. .......preferably facing the east or NE.
Close yr eyes gently and sit quite without talking or listening to a TV or radio programme. Shut them off.
Now gently observe yr breath for a while till yr body & mind
becomes still and calm.
Try to retain this .;...... in case its not possible , as it normally is, let some pleasant thoughts or a beautiful scenery pass thru yr mind's eye.
Let yr mind dwell in the peaceful & calm surroundings.
Sit like this until you are comfortable ---- then slowly open yr eyes. You may lie dn for a while if u so wish.
You are sure to feel refreshed after this exercise.
I hope this helps .Gd luck !!!!!!!!!

You want your mind to be silent... if you have a thaught accept it (it will be impossible not to have a thaught, you are a human) accept the thaught and push it away. You want to find the silence between thaughts.
You may say, what is the point of not thinking.... your thaughts control you, you think nonstop. you have no control over the thinker, you must recognize your thaughts and observe the thinker.
