The other day I was doing my usual research when suddenly I thought about a real unity ticket for 08: Wesley Clark/ Collin Powell (in any order). This would be fun because they were both in the military and are war Vets. I'm guessing that this ticket could do very well because they could get a big chunck of the Vet votes, African-American votes and lots of independent voters also. I never thought about it but it would be very interesting and would be a good ticket for Unity 08. What do you think?

I've got one better...

Colin Powell / Barack Obama in that order.

Colin has loads of experience and has taken his share of lumps in the real world. Barack makes up for his own inexperience with charisma and could develop into a solid leader under the tutelage of a battle tested man such as Colin.

Read the blog at blogger.com called "Bushwacker!"
It's a fictional account that takes place in 2008, where Bush & Company have all been assassinated, and Colin Powell has been sworn in as Interim President of the United States. John McCain has been sworn in as Intermi Vice-President.
A "unity ticket" I'd like to see in 2008: Ron Paul for President and Barack Obama for Vice-President. -RKO-

I think you found a couple very intelligent guys. i think they have been in the pubic if for some really good publicity. Yet I think if you ran the famas actor bill Cobsy the country will not look at anything yet but his skin. Which is a shame when we could come up with a good person to run. It the same as a woman yet, her sex is still the hang up, not rather she can do it or not.
What a shame.

Not TOO bad... How about Dan Quayle/Collin Powell? Surely Quayle has at least as much experience now as Obama!

They are both too liberal for conservatives to vote for them. Although they are both admirable people, their social issues are very liberal. Colin Powell touts himself as a moderate. He is pro-choice and for gay rights... something conservatives such as myself will NEVER support or cast a vote for.
