I think it was one of Paisley's mob who, interviewed on Radio 4 a few years back said something along the lines of: "You can't trust Blair, he married a Catholic".

How do you reason with that sort of mentality?

We already have a Catholic as prime minister. A closet Catholic who regularly receives the sacrament at Mass but is putting off the actual business of being admitted to the Roman Catholic Church. If Mr Paisley speaks to Mr Blair now, and I have never come across any indication that he does not, then that should give some indication of whether or not he would speak to another Catholic.
Besides, as a minister of religion Ian Paisley has a duty to speak to those who are in error, to set them right on the right course!

Well, the Queen might, as head of the Church of England. But why Ian Paisley? He'd probably see it as a way to exert some influence on the British People.

I'm not sure Ian Paisley is anti Catholic per se, because he represents them fairly as an MP.

I just think he might be anti Catholic subjugation? Not that I'm sure that would ever happen, but it is a convenient political tool.

Now that would be interesting! Suddenly all the Unionist would be all for breaking away from the UK!

Well, there you go -> the above poster has it right. TB is a Catholic though apparently he hasn't been received by the church (whatever that means)
