I represent myself in court regarding a family matter.
My mother wants contact with my son. A psychological report has been done yet my mothers solicitors wont send me a copy stating its sensitive nature and that cafcass have agreed i can view it through them.
However if I do this I will not have enough time to go through the report with a fine tooth comb! I tghought that I was entitled to my own copy of this report?
If I am how to get one?

Why don't you approach Cafcass and ask if you can see it through them urgently, explaining that if they cannot accommodate you you will be applying for an adjournment at the next court hearing? Make sure that you take notes of its contents.

You need to approach cafcass and ask to review the report before the court case. If this is refused when you go into court you can approach the bench and explain you have not had access to the report and ask for the case to be adjourned.

The solicitor is using the Data Protection Act 1998 to prevent you from having access to the report. This is perfectly legal, as it is with all medical information. However, if you think it may prejudice your case, ask for an order of disclosure from the judge dealing with the matter.
