Whenever I type in 'regedit' in Run, it displays, regedit is not a valid Win32 application.

And... I have to type 'command' in Run in order to get command. If I type in 'cmd', it also says cmd is not a valid Win32 application.

can anyone fix my problems?

Sounds like the DLL's in your System are not properly associated
If you are using XP Pro, then this sounds like a major problem. I would be inclined to do a repair install.
What OS are you using?

It works on my XP box. My guess is the file has been deleted or is corrupt.

While in XP (I assume you use XP), insert the XP CD and choose the Repair option. It will re-install all the original XP Files to your PC.

Just search for a file called "regedit" in your system. It should be in the "windows" folder the drive where you have installed your operating system.

Try downloading *hidden utilities* from http://camtech2000.net/

You'll find plenty on that site to help you understand your registry better.
