I want :
-a heart with my brother's name in the middle and a banner at the bottom
-My name on the bottom of my back
-if I have kids there names with a rose
-and last but not least a cat and a doll next to each other with my name under (yes, it is relevant to something)

Which would be the best and why? And should I get themor not and why?

I only have one tattoo and it is on my shoulder blade. It is a cross. I got it when i was 19 years old. I would love to have my son's name tattooed on me. My husband has my name tattooed on him.
We have been meaning to get our son's name put on us, just haven't had the time.

It is up to you to what kind you want because it is you that it will be on forever.
I like the ideal of a tattoo with your kids names on it.

Do you like to change things around in your room? Do you get tired of some things that you get? Ever wanted a new comforter, curtains, or just want your room another color?

People who would never dream of buying a picture with the idea that they would leave it on the same wall in the same place for the rest of their lives, sometimes get tattoos. How much sense does this make?

Tastes just change. It's part of life. You do not like all the same things this year that you liked two years ago. And styles will change. By the time you have kids, tattoos may be completely "out" and your kids could be embarrassed that you have their names tattooed on you.

So, draw on yourself, paint on yourself, get boxes full of temporary tattoos that you can put anywhere--visible or invisible.

Also, if none of those arguments speak to you, I've heard that there is a new technology around the corner that will allow people to get "permanent" tattoos that can be removed by exposing the tattoo ink to a special sort of light (not ordinary sun or lamp light--you would have to have a painless procedure). Thus, removal without scarring. If you hold out, you will have more options from a technological standpoint than are available to you right now.

I think the roses with your future children's names would be nice. This will give you time to see if you still want to have a tattoo (and where to put it).

I wanted a certain tattoo when I was 13, I'm now 40 and still would like it, but now I do not trust many of the shops.

IF you are ready PLEASE do the following:
Find a reputable artist - look at their portfolio, do they only do copies of existing images or do they do custom work? Ask to see one of their WORST tattoos. This will also show you a worst case scenario.
Look around the shop - is it clean? Are the artists wearing gloves and eye protection? Are the artists using disposable containers for the ink? If not – GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

I have 7 tattoos and I put lots of thought and research behind well most of them (at least the last 5). My first 3 tattoos I got when I was 18. I still love them all but make sure that is what you want. I have a few friends that regretted that 1 small tattoo and some who have already removed them (which looks bad because of the scaring).

This is a question only you can answer my dear?

You have to weigh out weither or not you want them on your body for the rest of your life. Plus, you have to consider the cost of them. So a lot of stuff factors into your decision. Plus, how old are you now? I mean a lot of things change from childhood to when you enter adulthood.

At least your tattoos have some meaning behind them. It shows that you value your family. I only have one tattoo on my body and thats a tattoo dedicated to my mom.

In time you will be able to figure out if you want them or not. Just think of all the pros and cons about it first.

I would say that you shouldn't get one.

1.) Religious reasons. Your body is a holy temple.

2.) You have it for a long time and eventually it will start to fade and look dirty.

3.) Getting it off is very painful!

4.) When you are 70 years old you do not want a tattoo.

That is a decision no one here can make for you. Tattoos have become more mainstream these days. As a matter of fact I have two of them. But I chose to put them places that I can cover if I want. I would suggest that for just about anyone.

You can't get rid of tatoos. Here's an idea. Get one of those temporary henna tatoos (they last like a summer), it will give you a feel for it . Also wait until you're 18 and if you still want one, why not?

Just don't get too many. One can look nice, more is overkill.

Too many tattoos are gross. I like a small tasteful one on the ankle.

remember a tatoo is forever
getting rid of a tatoo is not a pleasent experience

Wait until you are at least 25 to start disfiguring your body and see then if you still believe it is worth the pain.
