mica is an aluminium silicate
main types are Biotite and Muscovite, very common in igneous rocks.
also fuchsite which is the chromium rich mice which is an indicator of gold mineralisation
mineral has a flakey
mines? dont know of any, although i do know middle age england/europe used mica crystals as a glass substitute in church windows
