When there is a mis-match in a football game E.G Chelsea v Watford. The players of the lesser team dont put there heart into the game. 1) They know they are probably going to get beat and 2) They know they still get there fantastic wage even if they lose. So they just turn up and go through the motions and collect there obscene pay packet. Do you agree/disagree.

i think the lesser team play there hearts out , UNTIL they go behind , that's when there heads drop and usually end up getting slaughtered thereon. so agree and disagree .

I would have to agree with u there!
Its as if the players are already accepting defeat and thinkin about the next game!

I know that if I was playin against chelsea I would be putting everything into it! I mean if I saw Drogba running down he line with the ball I would be determined to wipe out drogba while also gettin the ball but when u watch players from the lesser teams playin against the likes of drogba they seem to get pushed off the ball too easily!

I disagree with you, If what you say is correct, why are there any Yellow Cards or Red Cards (sometimes) awarded, if these Footballers do not as you put it "put their heart into the Game", surely there would`nt be any need for any of the Players to Foul other Players?

I would have disagree with you, because everyone will be on the underdogs side, and it will give the team more of a goal to beat a better/bigger team.
How many small teams have beaten big teams in cup matches, there is allways a few upsets.
The smaller teams have got nothing to loose so they seam to play their hearts out.

I disagree.
If the "better" team doesn't respect the "lesser" team, they may not field the nest tema they can. Especially if they have a more important game coming up sooner.
This gives the other team a better chance.
Also, you can NEVER tell what happens in football, and there is always the chance for an upset.

Um...........kind of mate.

Sometimes I feel the smaller team has lost the game before it even starts - in their minds they no they're gonna lose. On the other hand, sometimes the smaller team will give it everything cos they've got nothing to lose.

I disagree most of these so called small teams give it their all in such games.Lose they might often, but that`s sofely because they are usually less experienced and dont have skill and depth,

Completley Disagree...... I find the underdog puts up their biggest fight..... Hence upsets...... You have to remember that allthough this is their job and they get paid a load.. this is also a hobby and if they love playing for there team as much as i love playing for my team on a saturday afernoon.. They will hate to lose so they will try their best... Money has nothing to do with it.... Its passion to play football....

I strongly disagree...They never would have made it to Premiership status (as a player or a team) with that kind of defeatist attitude
