I was in England for a short time and find that the young teens there are very ill manored. I sure hope it is not that way when I go to the USA.

Where are you from? Saturn?

Teens are SUPPOSED to be ill-mannered...it's in the job description. They are self-centered, hormone-charged and think they know everything. Education begins when they find out their parents weren't full of horse apples after all.

Teens worldwide are not well mannered on the whole.

They are in an awkward period of their lives - not children anymore, but not adults either.

Some choose to behave themselves, while the majority act like horrible little beasts, who resist any attempt at exerting authority, and have no respect for their parents, teachers, or anyone else. They sit and watch TV or play video games, scream at their parents to bring them food, and treat each other like total crap.

Some grow out of it, some go into adulthood maintaining the same level of impertinance, stupidity, and laziness.

These teens in the uk are called Chavs and Chavettes another term for trouble making youths. Not all of the UK teens are bad, I am one of them. :) I lef my school though because of immauture pupils there and now much happy.

I guess where ever you go even in the USA you are going to find people like that. This world is never peaceful... Hope this helps.

We, like everywhere else, have all kinds.

I am often shocked by the lack of manners in kids and adults. Time after time I hold a door for someone, often lots of folks, and not ONE thank you. Not even a head nod, but an attitude as if they deserved it and I should stand around holding doors for everyone.

The other day my son said he was looking at something at the store and another lady shoved herself right in front of him to look at it too, as if he were not even there.

I hate rudeness and it's so easy to say thank you or excuse me.

It's about half and half, I have found that many are very well mannered and kind. Of course there are those that are terrible and I blame the parents for that, apparently they haven't been taught to be human.
