I've learnt that in school but i don't quite remember it. I think that the sky is NOT blue but that we do see it blue even though it is not. It's a trick from our eyes with the help of the air and sun. I'm not quite sure but i'm sure the sky IS NOT really blue.

Absulately not. the sky is not blue. it is dark it doesnt have any colour. but in one sense u can say it is black.

explanation why it is blue:
when in a dark place u strike torche light that perticular place luminate . if u put yellow light it seems that place is yellow. the same way the sun actually gives the effect to the sky.
the sun gives the light to the earth. but in the earth 3/4 th is water . so the lights reflects and refract the molicule in the space and for the being reason some wevelanth we see in day time the sky is blue.

Sky is blue due to refraction of light through water vapor in the air.

the sky is CLEAR. sunlight bounces off the air kind of like when you hold a crystal prism and all of the colors of the rainbow come out. but in this case its only the blue color. if you notice sunsets are red or orange this is because sunlight has to travel through more air to get to your eyes and then the opposite end of the rainbow comes out. the red color. hope this helps!!!!
