for me gerrard is ten times better than lampard, im not sayin lampard is a bad player hes brilliant but to me its obvious that gerrard is better and it seems like lampard gets alot more credit for bieng a great midfielder over broad as well as here,why isnt gerrard getting that or is he and im just not noticing it?

Lampard is a very good player in a Premiership winning team with many other players to make him look even better.
Gerrard is, in my own opinion, a better all round footballer that is playing in a team that, at best, is going to finish 3rd this season and for the forseeable future.
I ask the question, if Gerrard had gone to Chelsea, would Lampard have kept his place in the team?

Gerrard is better than lampard will ever be..... Lampard is good but highly over rated... He does his job for chelsea but on performance he should be dropped from the England squad as he has had too many chances and there are lots of great players being held because of him.... get him out

Lampard scores regulary for Chelsea and Chelsea is always on the news and then you have Liverpool who can be brillient at tymes and very shocking on occassions and then Gerrard does`nt score as frequent and does`nt play every game.So yoou see only serious football fans will realise how great a footballer Gerrard is.But I should argue that Gerrard has not been at his best this season and that works against him.

I've got to say Gerrard the better player.In the last 10 years or so,only Paul Scholes matches Gerrard amongst english midfielders.

I think your just not noticing. Everybody knows how good Gerrard is and that is part of his problem.....Gerrard gets played out of position (on the right) because he is so good he can still influence games from there where as people like Lampard, Sissoko would be lost out on the right so they get played centrally.

You're right, Gerrard is a better all-round player and those two playing together for England just isn't working - Mclaren must know this but he seems scared to drop Lampard.
