Has anyone recieved a $500 gift card before while answering surveys. Thanks in advance.

There a few legitimate sites but as another poster mentioned, you do have to complete some offers. These usually involve some kind of free or low cost trial that you can cancel if you don't like the product and still get credit towards the gift card.
Some of these companies have tightened up their requirements after people figured out how to game the system. Check out the forums at scam.com
Be very careful and use a prepaid visa card because some of these companies that offer trials are shady.
A new email address and a free voice mail number from a site like privatephone.com will take care of the avalanche of spam and junk telephone calls.

Usually sites that offer this will do two things:
1) They'll make you buy products that you may or may not want in order to get the $500 gift card. These products will likely total significantly more than $500.
2) They'll ask for your email and snail mail addresses in order to sell them to other people. You will then be spammed constantly by others seeking to part you from your hard-earned cash.
Avoid these sites.

The sites I have seen require you to fill out numerous surveys and also purchase one of their "offers". These are all scams. You get the added bonus of tons of spam sent to your mailbox because they sell your e-mail address.

Just read an article on either yahoo or msn how much of a scam all these offers are. Be careful
