...and felt a bit disappointed about "what" the Holy Grail actually was. Did anyone else feel this way?

Don't get me wrong it was a cracking story and i enjoyed reading it, i just thought the ending would have been a bit more spectacular !!!

I don't read a lot of novels but i thought this was an excellent read with its conspirancy theory about the catholic church and the holy grail. It was enthralling with its action and suspense. Like some of the other respondents to your question i was disappointed with the film, but did like dan browns other book angels and demons.

I myself loved the ending. I could not think what else would have been better.

Angels and Demons by Brown is actually a better action packed book. My husband got it for my b'day and I could not put it down. I was done reading it the next day. They should have made an Angels and Demons movie instead of Da Vinci Code. More action. Don't get me wrong, I loved the The Vinci movie and Tom Hanks, but Angels and Demons would be cool to see as a movie.

i've have read all dan brown's novels including da vinci code,of course.it was a very devastating information if they ever prove jesus was married, for the christianity that is.and you really don't have to believe everything he said, its a fiction novel.maybe people who read and believed in everything dan brown said is the facts he used.he used existing locations, famous personalities whom we knew existed.but in the end,its just fiction,so you cant really say the holy grail is nothing more than magdalene's corpse.well, that's just one person's opinion,i mean,i could totally be wrong. but nontheless,i agree with some of dan brown's observation about catholic clergy being sexists and everything.i totally agree ith that since im a catholic and the sermons are about evils of women attracting men to sex.!!!.

hehehehehe.im sorry,i got carried away... ;-p

Ya..but it was a pretty good story. Too bad Brown didn't plan his ending out like an Alfred Hitchcock story. Other than that, I liked it about as much as "National Treasure" though IMO neither movie or book was as good as the Indiana Jones series.

If you enjoyed Da Vinci Code, check out any of Steve Berry's books....you won't get a let down at the end of any of his books!!

Who knows what the "Holy Grail" is, if there is such a thing ?
So Dan Brown invented his own holy grail, so far so good...

I read the book just before Christmas and was REALLY DISAPPOINTED. People kept on saying how good it was, but I didn't enjoy it. The film is a LOT WORSE - as it jumps around all over the place.

I know, i felt the same way, after all they have been through, all the gun shots and running away from the police and all that, they still don't know were the grail is.

I haven;'t read it and I will probably never will. I know what the Grail is though, and I thought is was a good twist, but I guess we can't all agree on this sort of thing.

I'm glad you enjoyed it though. I recommend The Rightous Men by Sam Bourne. If you liked DaVinci, you will love this.

Sorry I couldn't answer your question better.
