Need a great song to sing to my girlfriend, I truly love her and want to show it by playing here a song. I am just learning how to play the guitar and have 4 months to learn it in so I should be good.

how about Livin' on a Prayer by Bon Jovi, its pretty easy to play it. ask me for the chords & I'l send it to you, here is the link to download the song, http://www.cosports.com/running/mp3_download.htm

You can also play, Suzzana by the Art Company, I think this was also sung by Chris de Burgh, you can download it from here, http://www.movinbeats.com/pac/ you can change the name (Suzzana) to your girlfriend's name and sing it to her. Its a great song, have fun

here are the lyrics for Suzanna

We sit together on the sofa
With the music way down low
waited so long for this moment
It's hard to think it's really so
The door is locked there's no one home
They've all gone out we're all alone
Su-sanna, Su-sanna
Su-sanna I'm crazy loving you
I put my arm aroud her shoulder
Run my fingers through her hair
It's a dream I can't believe it
It took so long it's only fair
And then the phone begins to ring
And a strangers voice on the other end of the line
Says oh, wrong number, sorry to waste your time
And i think to myself,
Why now,
Why me,
Why.......
Su-sanna, su-sanna,
Su-sanna, I'm crazy loving you
Su-sanna, Su-sanna,
Su-sanna, I'm crazy loving you
Again I sit myself beside her
Try to take her hand in mine
The moment's gone, the feeling's over
She looks around to find the time
Then she says could we just sit and chat
And I think well that's that
Susanna, Susannna,
Susanna, I'm crazy loving you
Still we sit here on the sofa
With the stereo on ten
The magic's gone, it's a disaster
There seems no point to start again
She says I think I'd better go
She says goodbye and I say... NO!
Su-sanna, Su-sanna,
Su-sanna, I'm crazy loving you
Su-sanna, Su-sanna,
Su-sanna, I'm crazy loving you
I'm so crazy loving you

If your girlfriend is under the age of 30, she probably doesn't want to hear Stairway to Heaven. Find a song that both of you like...perhaps The Fray "How to Save a Life" or Gnarls Barkley "Crazy." Both are reasonable to learn. If you can't think of anything, at least go with a song that she will know and like...such as Dave Matthews, Green Day "Time of Your Life" or something else that has been popular.

hmmm. It really depends on the relationship, my advice is to pick a song that speaks to both of you, the relationship, your experiences together, If you have 4 months theres plenty of time to find the right one. In my experience almost all chicks dig any quality love song whether a classic (The Beatles) or modern - especially John Mayer's stuff.

How about writing her a song?

Then it will be from YOU. You could give her the lyrics on a nice printed piece of paper for her to remember...
Plus you can write the chords that are at your level (and it will sound much better than trying to reproduce a professional's song, trust me)

a relatively easy song to play is wonderwall by oasis. ive played it numerous times for girls and...well...im pretty happy haha. another song thats a bit unknown is beauty in the breakdown by the scene aesthetic. its a bit tougher...but i think you should be able to do it in 4 months.
another relatively easy song is lucky man by the verve. hope it helps. good luck with whatever you choose!

If she's got a good musical taste, anything by guns n roses would be awesome...listening to certains songs, especially live, is as good as sex to some ppl...lol

Tears in Heaven- Eric Clapton

Here's the Lyrics-

Would you know my name
If I saw you in heaven?
Would you feel the same
If I saw you in heaven?
I must be strong and carry on
cause I know I don't belong here in heaven...

Would you hold my hand
If I saw you in heaven?
Would you help me stand
If I saw you in heaven?
Ill find my way through night and day
cause I know I just cant stay here in heaven...

Time can bring you down, time can bend your knees
Time can break your heart, have you begging please...begging please

Beyond the door there's peace I'm sure
And I know there'll be no more tears in heaven...

Would you know my name
If I saw you in heaven?
Would you feel the same
If I saw you in heaven?
I must be strong and carry on
cause I know I don't belong here in heaven...
