Getting rich quick is what we would all like, but that wouldn't happen.
The extra taxes are in the name of offsetting this carbon footprint, thing. Funny they don't say how they intend to use the extra revenue to change things. I guess it will be used to fund some sort of think tank that will create a department that will be the best a what ever it's ment to do, then a few months down the line, they will reform the structure of that deparment at a huge cost, because the people that are using or involved with it thinks, this service and rules are outdated, and generally badly run.
But yet if you want solar panels on your roof or a wind generator in the garden, you will need planning permision, and if you wanted to apply for a grant to go towards the cost of such items, then good luck as the funding for that type of thing is limited.
The worst offender for money generation i the speed camaras in stupid places, like carriageways, and motorways, funny how most people that will end up being hit by cars going too fast are in urban ares ie outside Schools, don't see many in those places.
But if you do get rich quick there is a 40% income tax.

Guess that's the new Tory way - The Eton boys probably think it's a damn jolly idea to tax the plebs.

Who exactly gets rich from strangling the economy and making us uncompetitive ? Blair and Brown seem to be following Robert Mugabe's business plan.
