The T-zone refers to an area on your face that has a tendency to be oily.

The T is created by the line across your forehead, down to your nose and ended at your chin, thus forming the letter "T".

This area tends to have a lot of sweat glands that can contribute to acne if not properly maintained.

The right products can help.

The area above your eye brows and down your nose, makes a T.

Typically most women tend to have an oily/dry, over active T-Zone.

The forehead, the nose and the chin.....if you think about it, it makes kind of a T shape....it is commonly a "problem area" because it tends to be more oily than the rest of the face, esp. for people who have oily or combination (combination oily/dry) skin.
