Wow, he sorta jumped the gun there didn't he? I guess he doesn't worry too much about law. Anyway, go to your county court house. If the divorce is uncontested then there is probably just a filing fee. Ask for the court that handles this, and ask for the forms they expect. Complete those, pay the fee and be free. Make sure you include in the decree the items that you intend to split, and if there is real estate write what is to become of it (he'll refinance, or I'll refinance within a period of time).

Good luck!

Go to local stationary story and purchase divorce kit, fill it out and file it. All total shouldn't run you more than about 150.00 for everything, papers, filing fees, service of papers.

You could also see a lawyer, intial consultation is usually free, Get advice, like you might use them, then do it yourself.

The other marriage is his problem, not yours. Should be interesting when his new wife sees him get served divorce papers!!!

How do you know he didn't already get a divorce? Of course, you should have served if that happened, but maybe he didn't know where to find you? Ask him. If he didn't get a divorce, tell HIM to file and pay for it.
