I've just watched american beauty and I think thats a pretty unique movie with ungeneral ending, what do think?

that is a fantastic movie
some say its the only academy award winner of the past 10 years that deserved to win
of course I don't say that, I love The Departed

I think it was a great movie, although I would have changed some things around. Overall I give it 8/10 stars.
I am not sure if you noticed but American Beauty influenced a whole range of movies and television shows Like "Six Feet Under" and "Desperate Housewives". It is almost sad because it is obvious they are ripping it off and not even coming close to being as good.

To use a cliche term I found/find it to be hauntingly beautiful everytime I see. It manages to show the ugly underbelly of suburbia while maintaining the beauty in Lester's ability to persevere.

I thought it was beautiful. I remember the part when Kevin Spacey hugs Mena Suvari after she made a pass on him : )

I remember watching that movie on HBO a long time ago..and I remember that movie was weird to me...shock and awe was definetly used in that movie...very odd movie...left me a little interanlly shakened
