In the morning, that way I could get all the dirty clothes, and have them back to them by the next morning when I pick up the new dirty ones.
Hopefully they have had their baths so I can get the towels as well as the clothes they wore that day.

I see several options here:
1) Let your customers choose: If you picked up either morning or night that would distribute your work load so that you would not be unindated with laundry at any peticular hour of the day.
2) Have those that can drop their laundry off do so.
3) Provide specific time of day and/or day of week per each customer according to the time your willing to do the work.
Sometimes giving people options is better and sometimes some individuals can't choose with options and need specific time/day.
What it all comes down to is your customer load vs the time your willing to put into it. You are the one that needs to be in control of your work load, not the customer.

I would deffinitely pick up the laundry in the morning this way I could be finished with their laundry earlier and could go onto the next customer and be done at the end of the work day.
