It depends what you like! But on the whole, this town is not really a "traditional" English town. I'd recommend visiting Winchester instead! Also it depends if you will have a car! If you like museums, go down to the city centre and visit the Archaeology museum, the Titanic museum, the airplane museum..... If you like films, go to Harbour Lights cinema (in Ocean Village) and have tea overlooking the docks, then watch a cool film. If you like organic vegetable farms, then visit Sunnyfields Farm in Totton, just outside the town. If you like nightclubs, there are plenty in the city centre. If you have a car, you can visit the New Forest, or Marwell Zoo, or the beautiful ruins of Netley Abbey.
It would help if you could give us more information about what you like and what kinds of things you were thinking of!
Cheers

Go to Portsmouth down the road instead- you can visit the Spinnaker Tower, it is amazing.
You can also watch a premiership football team, go shopping at outlet stores at the fabulous Gunwharf, walk along Southsea seafront and visit the historic ships.
Pompey also has a great night life
