Well in many pagan traditions especially the Celtic tradition, the conjuring of the dead was not taken lightly. They were not able to control what spirits came forth, so they said that anyone caught doing this would be put to death to join those spirits. The same with a Ouija board you can't control what kind of spirit come from it. Many evil spirits have caused people to go insane most conjured from a Ouija board. the thing is even today in Christian Ireland it is customary to be cautious of what you do and mess with. Not BS but it can be Evil.

I have some pagan views, hope that counts, sorry if it doesn't.
Usually they are BS and a bit of fun but I think when used by someone who is good at picking up messages from others, either living or dead, they can be useful. Sort of like automatic writing.
The reason I feel that way is they are usually a toy. But pretty much anything can be used as a tool by mediums and psychics. I don't think there is anything special about ouija boards themselves.

An Ouija board is just a tool and as such, it is neutral. But I myself would not use it. The reason: the energies that come through the board are low and confused, at the very best. I wouldn't want to invite all kinds of lowlives into my home ... regardless of whether or not they have a body.

From the viewpoint of a pagan, there is no such thing as either good or evil in a ouija board. It's only a device, and is not bad in itself. Incidentally, what is contacted through it can be very VERY nasty, depending on its construction, which is a compound of the uncontrolled minds of the people attached to the fingers attached to the glass. Nothing useful has ever been gained from one of those things. Witches never touch them, not even for fun.

I have never used one, and don't plan on it. I'm just being protective of myself in CASE I end up summoning an evil presence. I mean who wants that? I don't think it should be used as a toy anyways, even though Wal-Mart sells them like they're toys. I take spirits seriously, and with an Ouija board, any spirit can come. Even bad ones posing as good.

The Ouija board is a tool. It is not good nor evil. If a person really knows how to use and control what he/she does with it, the likelyhood that something could go wrong is very slim. However, in untrained hands, the tool could become a weapon that could hurt oneself, and others around.

They are fine. They don't always work because there aren't always spirits willing to talk. They are not evil, and they are not dangerous, so long as you take the necessary precautions (psychic shield against negative forces). You need to be well-prepared, and it's not really a good idea to mess around with them, but they're okay if you know what you're doing.

Evil, I did not need a ouija board to talk to demons or ghosts, i had them in my house in Pananma, and I could not get them to leave or stop harrassing my kids, no matter how many spells I cast, besides, once you get a board it won't go away, no matter howmany times you throw it away, unless you burn it to ashes.

ok...it's not bs...it works and my personal proof is that I have witnessed it work with no one touching it.
How it works..by use of energy flow and posative thinking.
then again...I have also witnessed a table rise off the floor and move several feet across a room by the people only touching the top of it with the tips of their fingers.
It works in the same way as the board does.

They are neither good or evil, they just are tools. I don't think they are reliable at all. I come to this opinion of 43 years of using them and hardly ever have had anything useful come through. No bad experiences at all. It appearsd to me they are influenced by our thoughts and answer whatever the strongest thought is.
