Had a boyfriend who skydives, and went up in the plane as 'observer'. Crawled on hands and knees to the open door and looked out (with parachute on), feels like you are on the riverbank of an extremely rapid river!
Saw no reason to ditch the plane--still mechanically sound and flying perfectly--so I sensibly came back to earth.
Skydivers are pretty 'crazy' people, in a nice way, as soon as they land they want to jump again!

Never have, never will (unless the plane is going down and I can get to a parachute). I have never felt the sudden need to jump out of a perfectly good plane anyway.
