They are a newborns clothes so it can't be strong cleaners.

re wash in hot water, and detergent try white vinger, or baking soda. and then re wash to get the stuff out on HOT

I usually say White Vinegar, but I see others have mentioned it, (a firm believer in Vinegar and use it for the cleaning of the household and cleaning laundry and stains) so I will offer you another hint, use Lemons cut up in a pot of water and boil the clothes in this mixture for about 25-30 mins then wait for this mixture to cool when cool you can then rinse in cold water, and hang in the sun and the sun will do even more bleaching of the fabric and bring up the real white they were when you bought them.

Yes, the lemon trick works, i've used it a couple of times. Once for white clothes that were pink, and once for a mold stain. You'd think you can't get mold out, but spraying it with lemon juice also and letting it soak in the sum will get rid of it as much as possible. The pink clothes should be soaked in lemon juice and left outside to get sun.

There's a product that Wal-Mart sells that is made for this. I cannot remember the name of it but if you look on the aisle where the dye products are kept you should be able to find it.

Soak in bleach, add some vinegar, wait for abt an hour an voila!
