There is cirtainly a power greater than man out there, call it God, Buddah, Shiva, Allah, if you belive then it exists.

But think about this. God is the creator, and by definition is because of this, now, Man is getting close to creating life, through cloning, celular maniplulation etc, does this mean that Man is becoming God, if so, are we as man consuming Gods power weakening him on earth.

For a long time this has been considered an unanswerable question, but recently some prominent thinkers have treated the existence of god as a testable hypothesis, comparing the universe as observed with what you would expect if there was an intelligent creator, and the conclusion is a very firm 'NO'.

Read Richard Dawkin's 'The God delusion' for the biologist take on this approach. or Victor J. Stenger 'God; the failed hypothesis' for a very good summary of the evidence from physics against the idea of a god.

Hmmmmm.......
Let's look around us.... Trees, people, cars, dogs... no god.

No problem, he's invisible.

Ok, so what good is he?
He ... helps and guides us and looks down on us from heaven.

Well, cool. But what does he do? Tell me what he's done today, for instance. Ooooh, what a shame. Nothing that can't be explained by the laws of physics or coincidence ... or just by people.
You want to see god in every tree? Go right ahead, but I call it a tree.

So we have this invisible person who doesn't actually do anything.
That means the world is exactly the same, whether he exists or not.

The way I see it is to just believe in him... You know there has to be someone or something that started everything. Like when you look at the stars or learn about the other galaxies. You know that it didn't just appear out of nowhere and that something had to have made it all. So yeah, I would have to say there is a God, and that I do believe in him.

Existence of God is not at all a deep quiestion. The answer is pretty simple and obvious provided we have not lost sense of our nature. Like color blinds who say color, what color?

Be alone and think. He will guide you towards Himself. Do it specially when you feel totally abandoned, alone and rejected by others. Repeat it as many times as you like, you will always find Him loving and caring. After all He has created you and me. Don't rely on 'modern' Science as it is nothing but a keyhole to see an expanding humangous universe. Rather rely on your inner self.

Back in very ancient times there were many "Gods". A vast majority of the population believed in these Gods, much like the vast population believes in this ages one "God".

The entire idea of God is not based on whether or not God truly exists as we know existance to be but instead is based on having faith that he exists.

That said, I have faith that when I put gas in my car that it is really 87 Octane Gas that my car will run on and therefore it exists. I guess the same can be said about God. If you have faith that God exists than to you God does.

This type of question cannot be given an accurate answer. Everyone has their own beliefs and doubts depending on their own personal life experiences. Do you think God exists? If so why? or if not, why not? Im interested in what you think.

God is dead.
- Nietzsche

Nietsche is dead.
- God

LOL (sorry this is not the jokes section, I know.)
To answer your question, I don't think we can prove that God exists, but as we can't prove either that He doesn't exist, it's a matter of betting which position is better. According to Pascal, it's better to bet on the existence of God. So yeah, God exists. I guess.
