We have been at war with radical Islam since Iran took our embassy people hostage during the Carter administration. We chose to ignore this disease known as international terrorism for decades. We finally realized that we are at war after the attack on 9/11. The only reason it ended up in Iraq right now is Saddam overplayed his hand. He would still be in power if he had cooperated with the UN inspectors. He liked making everyone believe he had horrible weapons. After 9/11 we could not take the chance that he did and might provide the technology to terrorists. Since we were still at war with Iraq since Dessert Storm, we took the opportunity to take out his perceived threat.
The terror supporting countries in the region realize the threat to them that a Free Iraq would pose, have been supporting the insurgency with money and sophisticated weapons. The disease of fundamentalist Islam tyranny cannot abide the cure that liberty brings to the long suffering people of the Middle East.

You have three tribes fighting each other for control of the Country. This happened with Vietnam and Korea too, that is why the Countries were split in half. We could be there for 50 years at this rate, and if that is the problem might as well take it over completely or get out.

Its like Removing Tito from Yugoslavia...old hatreds from different tribal groups looking to settle old scores. A civil war will break out with a lot of atrocity style acts to be committed. What the area needs are a Brutal Roman style dictator to keep the peace.

because saddam was not Americas real enemy
but america doctored all news about saddam's biological and WMD programme... america's only aim is to exploit iraq's oil wealth... no country in this world will allow other country to exploit their resource..
its not matter of survival but rude hegemony

because Sadaam was not the problem, only the scapegoat. how do you conquer a nation and its resources? tear apart the government and place in a puppet one

Because we already have hollywood. People are not stupid well maybe a little bit. Maybe because wrong guy, no weapons , maybe theres some hidden agenda. I dont know.
