I don't really think about it, but when I get closer to the next level, I try hard to get there quickly.

I do care and in a sad way I am excited that I am only 10 points away from level three and I am sure I will get a big anticlimax feeling once I get there, until level 4 starts to come within my grasp...

I did until I got to level 5, but the further up you get, the more points you need for the next level so I'm trying not to look now! I still get a kick out of getting a best answer though! (that wasn't a hint)

Yes, at the lower levels I was really quite keen on advancement, but I've lost a lot of incentive. The only time I think about points now is when Yahoo deduct 11 because some idiot has clicked the abuse button and they can't get their act together to check if it was justified!

Yes, I've got less than one hundred til Level 6, and I'm worried when I reach it, how far away Level 7 is too.

So for you people that worry about points... Do you get an Epiphany when you reach that level? Otherwise it's just the mans way of controlling us by giving us token rewards for answering questions and spanking us for asking them.
Don't you find that kind of weird? Penalty to ask questions when it should be reward a sound question and a penalty for answering it dumbly? It appears Yahoo Answers has it bass ackwards.
What do we tell our kids? They get points deducted or pieces of less cereal if they ask questions at the dinner table?
