Pet hates:
1. The word "missus". It's horrible. God help her if she really is your wife.
2. 'she proper went off on one'. Learn to speak English. You sound like an unintelligent boar. And yes, I mean BOAR not bore.
3. 'she looks like a hippo.... everyone will be laughing at her'. I wonder how good you look? I'm betting it's not that great.
How would you like it if she said your d*ck was the smallest she'd ever seen?? Which it probably is.
If you'd have said "hmmmm... honey, I'm not sure. I don't really like the cut of those jeans" that's fine. EVEN if you'd said "they don't really suit your shape", that's not so bad. Because you'd be telling the truth, but being respectful towards her. You, on the other hand, sound very disrespectful!
It's one thing to be honest with someone about how they look, but you sound like a complete prat. I hope she takes her skinny jeans and runs off to someone who appreciates her.

lol lol lol. That is so funny.
You did the right thing by telling her, even if that means you'll get bruises!!
To be honest i prefer when people say the truth.
I personally dont want to look stupid in anything.
i rather partner telling me the honest truth, even if i really liked something.
she shouldnt have taken this so badly.
she should understand you dont want people thinking she's crazy.
and am sure you want your missus looking gorgeous always, and its compliment when men have 2nd look at her.
A fashion expert would have said the same thing. would she have chucked the mug at them too?
Hmmm.
I dont think you need to apologise. Just tell her " fine, if you want to look stupid, go ahead"
And tell her "its best to take advice from men, as men will be looking more"

Lol, you are a ****! You can't say stuff like that. And just because you don't like them doesn't mean others won't. In fact, if skinny jeans fit her then maybe she looks so good you're worried she might wander off. Sounds more likely than people laughing at her.

You never ever tell a woman she is fat.In order to get back on her good side, you may need an act of Congress.Women do not forgive easily when a man tells her she is fat.I once through a glass ashtray at my first husband and yogurt at my second husband,I only weighed 120-130 pounds.

oh dear, oh dear, oh dear
You div.
She wants you to say that she looks great and then when she Say's her bum looks big you say "NO love you look smashing" then she says "really? I'm not sure" you say "honestly babe, you look great. You gonna show your mates?" Then she calls her mates to come round and see her in her new togs and THEY tell her she's got a big a*se in the new jeans.
Don't ask me why. I'm a girl and even i don't know. It's just one of THE rules. And yes i would get P.O'd if my bloke told me i had a big bum in new clothes even though i know i have.
Oh and by the way. When she takes them back she'll ask you again for your opinion. Just say "well i don't know babe? it's up to you really" then when she's taken them back and comes home in a strop cause she's now got no new jeans just say "what do you want to do tonight babe?" even if there's footy on cause it's they only way she'll feel like your trying to look after her.

Oh my god you obviously don't know women at all!!! There are way and means of saying certain things and you were about a subtle as a wet fish! If you don't like her in something rather than saying it try telling her what you do like her in and she will get the hint without you hurting her feelings. Go and buy her a rose and say your sorry you didn't mean to upset her

yes it is she needs to hear the truth but you could be a bit more sensitive to your wife or girlfriend's feelings. women take all of what men say to heart if you sed that to me i wud have done the same thing. next time tell er honey i dont tink that dem jeans go well with your phyisique mayb try a diffrent style n it wud look better n tell er dat you love her n that you dont want any one laughing at her behind her back

Though I agree with you completely when you give a woman an honest opinion about her weight you're on shaky ground. I wouldn't have taken offence but then again everyone is different.

being a girl, i personally would much rather my boyfriend told me if i looked like a hippo instead of letting me go out so everybody else could think it. may just be me though?
