Can anyone tell me a single word to replace the phrase "has it all together?" I'm writing a story and I'm stuck
"Sighing deeply, he lowered his head to his desktop and rested his eyes while the teacher took attendance. As Marin watched his usually well put together friend who now seemed so troubled a look of concern flickered across his face."
That's what I have, but it seems too wordy.
