Since Shania Twain , it has become more popular. Still though it is a lovely name. My Daughter is named Chanaya.

Shania itself is a pretty name but unfortunately I'm not a fan of country and that name reminds me too much of Shania Twain. Unless you're a country lover, don't! Seriously, celebrity can ruin it. I used to love the name 'Paris' for my future baby boy when I was studying Greek myth in school, and now I hate it because of Hilton.

Shania is a great name,and its not all that common, I am a dance teacher so i get a lot of children with different names and i have only had one shania in my 9yrs of teaching.
Another name ive come across that is similiar is Shanice,

I love the name Shania. My sister named her daughter Shania, but she spells it Cheniya.

I really like it. It is really pretty. It is not hat common, but people will notice it from Shania Mokler. I dont know if I spelled the last name. She was on Dancing with the Stars and she was Travis Barkers ex-wife. Other than her, I do not think the name is very common at all. I really like it, an d if you like it, thats all that matters.
