News says Vietnam officials will not allow anyone to adopt child as a couple IF THEY ARE NOT MARRIED. So Jolie didn't tell the truth-'cause she DOES live with Pitt and they aren't married. Some example for young people. Become a motherhubbard, not marriage covenant, except that fake one in the park to make her mom think she was married, lying to get what she wants? You and I would never get away with so much. I have boycotted allher and pitt films---they're rich enough off us dumb slobs. What do you guys think?

The rule is: if you live as a couple, but are NOT married, you cannot adopt a Vietnamese child. So, she applied as a single person, BUT SHE LIVES with PITT? Isn't that deceiving them?

Well she actually applied as a single woman, which is also against the law there.I agree with you on everything. I cannot stand either one of them. She used to be so beautiful but now.....I think I know what is going on. She is giving all their food to their 12 kids and her and Brad have no food for themselves.LOL

The thing to note here as well is that she has done everything through proper channels. If the relevant department decides not to enforce particular parts of their rules in regards to adoption, it is their choice. For all we know, it may have been a ministrial order in the background. It still comes down to the country allowing the adoption to take place.
Now, what all this has done as well is bring the adoption thing to mainstream media. There are surely people who would be asking why she is adopting children from the various countires. They may in turn decide to adopt children themselves as a result. I do not see this as a bad thing.

Well, Angelina Jolie adopted the child by filing as a single woman. Which is true, because her and Brad Pitt aren't married so technically they are single. You don't have to be married to adopt a child in any country, you just have to provide them with a stable home. Besides, I think it is good, she uses her money and fame to adopt children in order to give them a better life and contribute to the world and humanity, what is so bad about that.

I don't really understand what you are upset about, having a hard time following but here's my take on the jolie adoption craze. In my eyes she isn't a saint because I don't see why she can't adopt from here, she has enough money to afford to, so I see she is trying to go about it the "cheap way", and also there are millions of people who take care of people who are less fortunate so I don't understand why they are being praised so much. It's like really not that serious, and in my eyes, her own damn country needs her support since she trying to dish it out...

A child, no matter what nationality, will now have a home with people who can provide much more than the shelter he was in. Children are children and i admire her for the work she has done... You can't help everyone, so helping one is a start..

Jolie is a world-famous celebrity. I doubt she would succeed in lying to the Vietnamese authorities concerning her marraige status. It's far more likely that the rules are not uniformly enforced, and that the government is giving her a pass.
