Why not? Britain has had two black queens before.

Queen Philippa (14th century)
Queen Charlotte (George III's wife)

Thanks for the thumb-down, Clive; you're a sweetie

ultimately it could be as much as Parliament, there is not any precedent for this occasion interior the united kingdom or this is predecessor monarchies. this is probably that Harry (by way of fact the inheritor presumptive) could be appointed as appearing regent till the start of the youngster. Upon the start of the youngster a greater everlasting regent (till the youngster turns 18) could be appointed. I interior the previous a regent has consistently been appointed while the inheritor-obvious/heiress presumptive is under 18 in case the monarch dies unexpectedly, that's often the different make certain of the youngster e.g. Prince Philip for Prince Charles so this is probably that Catherine could grow to be regent, reckoning on the order wherein the Queen, Charles and William died she could or won't be Queen mom or The Duchess of Cambridge.

I am sure, if the African princess passed all the royal checks and balances, they would be allowed to marry.

Hasn't a few of the Queen's own children married commoners?

I think that she would have to allow the marriage. If she discriminated against any skin tone or religious belief she would be skating on very thin ice.

Lets face it - British people are all colours and all religions and she would lose the respect of most of the country if she was to try to block such a marriage.

The history and tradition of the Royal Family is rooted in Europe, I should like it to stay there.
Do not give Blair ideas, one of his principal objectives in office has been the destruction of the Royal Family.

Portraits of Queen Philippa and Queen Charlotte do not suggest that they are black and evidence quoted by the protagonists of this theory is so scant that one wonders why no mention was made by other historians.

If he really did love her and he was getting engaged then the Queen would have to get to know her and I imagine if all the chips fell right she would. Who knows.

As long as she wasn't Catholic (marrying a Catholic would require William to give up the throne), then there would be no problem with it.

The only way we would know this would be to ask her. However, she would be dammed if she agreed because a lot of her subjects would object, and she would be dammed if she opposed it because of racism. Either way she couldn't win!
