Gordon Brown has given Scottish nurses a pay rise but FREEZES rises for England and Wales....He's working for an English parliament, Surley he can't do this.??

Yep pardon me, I stand corrected.British Parliament....Nurses, ALL nurses should be paid the same and not divided...That's my point.

All nurses are getting pay rises 1% now and 1.5% in Nov
BUT
the Scottish Assembly has decided to give the Scottish nurses the full 2.5% just now....
and there's no such thing as an English Parliament its The UK Parliament cause unfortunately our ministers(Scottish) have a say in English matters but the English Ministers have no say in our matters....sucks ...

nursing is a very noble and underpaid profession, but ask yourself this, if a nurse in London was paid the same as a nurse in a wee village outside aberdeen how would she manage financially with the huge difference in cost of living? no nurse would be able to live and work in a major city. As for the £20 note thing, who takes any notice? it doesnt make it worth less, maybe the powers that be are more tollerant of their scottish neighbours than you are

Is it possible because Scottish nurses are being underpaid, compared to English nurses, Scottish workers are often less paid than their English counterparts.
