I'll be going for a gig but I dont know what to wear for the concert later.Plus,this is the first time im going for a gig.So,any ideas people?your help would be very much appreciated.Ty.=)

the gig would be held at my school and the objective of having the gig was to help the fund-raising for the needy students.

Are you a solo performer, or with the band? Most guys in bands these days seem to show up in T-shirts and jeans. Kind of sad really. But a garage band in designer clothing seems pretty pretentious.
As a solo performer, you want to dress well, to show that you hold yourself in high esteem and should be taken seriously (if you are performing serious music).
A black suit with a t-shirt that has a funky graphic on it, with oddly colored converse shoes would be cool for most urban music. You can even consider hat, a vest instead of a blazer, or sunglasses.
Also, look to you music for inspiration. What are artists performing in a similar style wearing? If it's country and western, probably dressing for hip-hop would be a bit jarring, and visa-versa.
Just have fun with it. Your style will evolve with your music.

To be honest it depends on the gig its self but jeans and a t-shirt are good fall backs just remember to dress appropreatly for e.g if your going to a iron maiden concert you wouldn't wear a pink top and pigtails with bows, its good to stand out but don't go to extreams. good luck hope you enjoy the concert!!!

heres an idea:
maybe some tight jeans/skater jeans
and mayb some cute tight band name shirt or something
and wear like black or dark eye makeup

Wear jeans and a T-shirt. Something comfortable, NO NAME BRANDS. Don't gel your hair either.

you should wear whatever suits you.probably a skirt and a cute top.and accessories that match with the outfit.
