Much as I hate to agree with Schummer, I must admit that this appears to be purely political in nature. If Bush had fired the prosecutors when he came to power no one would have batted an eyelash at the action. However, there is more to this story than just the fact that 8 prosecutors were fired. There are legitimate questions about whether Congress was misled in relation to the reasons for those firings. If the evidence indicates that this is the case Gonzalez should resign. I am a conservative and frankly many other conservatives are starting to distress me more and more with their defenses of the administration. We claim to stand for law and ethics. Equal treatment of all, and yet when given opportunities to display these qualities proudly, too many are choosing to take a partisan political stand. You either believe in accountability or you don't, but you cannot have 2 different standards based solely on ideology because that is just hypocrisy.

Freedom is only for the liberal elite. Didn't you know that? They don't even want people to have the ability to fire a bad employ when they want to. Liberals hate freedom for the people.
