The era is indeed the Cenozoic, the period is the Quaternary and the epoch is the Holocene, though some scientists are calling the most modern times the Anthropocene.

Kiddo got it wrong. The period is not the Quaternary (for that is an outdated term, although still used), it is the Neogene Period. The Holocene is an older term and is mostly outdated, the more correct term is the Recent Epoch. I have never heard of any scientist calling modern times the Anthropocene.

We are living in artificial , technological , era which is sometimes harmful to us but if we recognise it in more appropriate way and make its proper use then it will look as pretty as Heaven is.
