I ask this same question once in a meditation. The answer came clear as a bell.
It said I have placed you here to learn the true meaning of Love. What ever it was that was answering then told me something that really set me back. It said that I felt the way I did about certain people because I did not understand the true meaning of love. I protested and said that I did my best to love all of the people who were deserving of love.
It replied "yes that is your misunderstanding. You see love as something that you dole out in tiny little portions here and there to people who you have judged to be worthy of it. This is not love at all, it is only judgment". This stopped me dead in my tracks. I suddenly realized that what it was saying to me was true. This realization brought me to tears. It went
on and told me, "You treat love as though there is some shortage of it. It is not something that you can run out of. The more love that you give, the more love that there is in the world. Its that simple. The only way that there can be a shortage of it is if you hoard it and keep it to yourself."
It went on to explain, that "this is what Jesus was trying to tell you when he asked you to turn the other cheek, to judge not and to love your neighbor. He made no exceptions in these things that he requested of you. Why are you making exceptions, and judging some as worthy of love and others as not? Jesus fully intended for you to apply this love that you are to all, in a universal manner without any judgment of any sort". By this time the tears Were flowing freely. I was crying because for the first time in my life I Understood what the message Jesus left for us in the bible actually meant.
This has become my truth. I can't say what yours is for sure, but I have a feeling that it is probably similar.
Love and blessings

well i am a bit of a philospher on this matter and well out of all my conjecture I have come to this there really is no reason really, well that is from a nonreligious standpoint.i mean you spend your whole life building what seems to be something but in the end is nothing what you accomplished is to be recycled and reused and overaccomplished by someone else until the end of time which is still a very vague time. but if there is a reason we live its to figure out why we live, i know very confusing, sorry but its the truth that very question 'why do we live'? Is in fact the very reason we live ,to find out why we live....but to find out would cause paradox and end all time if you were to find out why we live you would cease your reason for existence so in thus time will last forever seeming until this rare event occurs. For when a question is answered there is no reason for the question to exist anymore and the very question itself is life and the answer is death.........

to live every day like it is your last and to do your best at everything that comes before you or
No point. Since having a point is a condition of living human consciousness. Animals do not need a point to live or exist. It is more of an affliction of consciousness that there are such things as points, a negative side to evolutionary development for lack of better words.

Life is a game & everyone is trying to win it
The important thing is how well a person is playing this game?
At the religious point of view: -
God made us to prove ourselves as How good & How bad we are? Also he examines us by good & bad times to see who deserves heaven & who deserves hell? And of course the Evil is always with us directing the way to hell. So, stay alert!!!
That’s all from myside Buddy :-)
Have a good day :-)

There is no "why".
It is just a maladjusted fusion of "what" and "how" based on the human fallacy of "purpose".....
Humanity has no purpose, any more than anything else.
We just ARE here... Causality has resulted in us being here, and we will continue to be here until circumstances conspire to end that.
No more, no less.
There is no "why".

God created us and want us to live on Earth and conquer all of the living things in the water, land , and air. The reasons is that God see that between the animals there is no ruler, so God created us.

I think, it is to maintain the balance in earth....
God created everything...
and He needs someone to propagate what He had created...
And as the chosen ones, we are in the responsibility in protecting and right usage of each creation...
we are all accountable for that...

I'd like to know too because people try every way in their power to throw me off the face of this earth. My roommate came charging @ me with 2 knives last night, & I called the police, & they said she would've had every right to stab me. That made me feel like committing suicide.
