Ringo Starr played drums on this and Klaus Voorman played bass. One of rocks greatest session players, Nicky Hopkins, was asked to double-up on John's piano playing to give it a fuller sound, his work was obviously uncredited [also played on "Crippled Inside", "Jealous Guy "How" and "Oh Yoko".] Also what your hearing is the classic Wall of Sound production by Phil Spector and spot-on arrangement for strings.

I think it was mainly just Yoko on the piano, with an orchestral background track.
