The movie "The Prestige"; can someone explain Sara in the water tank...?

Question

The very last shot of the movie, Sara is in the water tank, although she previously hung herself in the movie. I could follow it all except for that.

Check it out guys. It was DEFINITELY Sara. In a dress. NOT Danton.

I dont get it.

Freaky, I just saw this on DVD the other day, but I thought the last tank shot was just Danton (with his hair floating upwards and wearing a frilly shirt, maybe he looked like a gal).

EDIT - OK, I tore into my Netflix return envelope to settle this. The person in profile in the tank at the last shot is NOT Sarah, it is clearly a man, it's Hugh Jackman.

I don't know why you thought it was Sara. The bodies in the water tanks are all drowned Hugh Jackmans (The Great Danton). He drowned himself over and over just so he could blame Freddy for it once.

I have watched the movie many, many times, and the person(s) in the tanks are all Angier. When he steps into the machine it makes a copy of himself which is transported maybe fifteen feet, and the original goes through the trap door and drown in the tank. The tank is then delivered at night as noted by Fallon to where he finally puts the machine away.

I think that was one of the Angier clones in an old water tank in the shot. I don't believe it was Sara. Good movie.

If it was her in there, I hadn't noticed. However, Hugh's character didn't drown himself to blame the other character. He drowned the clone, so there would only be one of him (the same reason he shot that first clone) and the trick would stay a secret. He likely just worked it out so that Bale's character would be in the right place during one of the tricks (an added bonus).
