The answer to your question is HOMEOPATHY, not just in Hyperthyroid but in every disease and disorder, nothing works better then Homeopathy, Allopathy is the old, outdated school of medicine. Homeopathy is the New school of smart medice which cures 100% without and I repeat without any side effects or complications of any sort, 100% Cures thats what Homeopathy is.
Take Care and God Bless You !

As you have not mentioned your age /sex ,I will give a general answer. This particular problem of hyperthyroid is nothing but the failure of the function of the thyroid glands. All this happens due to stress or tension ,what ever may be the reason you do end up with this problem. All you have to do is to take an blood test of T3- T4 & TSH test to confirm and after which you should meet an endocronologist who will then recomend you the correct dosage of the thyroixn(Is the name of the medicine). If you are relly intrested in getting rid of this situation then you should do some Yoga exersises, such as putting/ pressing your chin to your neck /chest and inhale strongly by pulling your neck mussels inside which will help you to activate the thyroid glands, there are medicines in homeopathy /ayurveda which might help in a very long time after a lot of test and trial situation ,so I sujest you just meet the doctor. Wishing you all the best in fast recovery of this problem you have.God Bless

If you want to read a "true" answer read this one...
1. Homeopathy has an absolutely fabulous remedy for "hyperthyroidism" take from me it works very well, and actually "cures" the problem.
2. Ayurveda will most likely work with your diet and incorporate massage/ meditation and others. So yes, definitely it can be very helpful...BUT most people in the "western" world have a very difficult time sticking to the regime of Ayurveda, as you will most likely be cutting many things out of your diet and doing things very foreign to most westerners.
3. Allopathic medicine (or what most of us grew up on or going to the doctor) also has a medicine that can be useful in treating hyperthyroidism (often called Synthroid) BUT the differences between allopathy and homeopathy is that allopathy simply gets rid of the symptoms, it does not "cure" the disease, thus is the reason often when you "get better" from one thing weeks, months, years later something pops up but much worse. Make sense??
Anyway, all three of your choices have the reasoning to be beneficial, there is also chinese medicine and naturopaths, that each has a viable remedy. BUT against prior suggestions you CAN NOT mix allopathy with homeopathy especially as often they can counterindicate each other.
One major benefit to seeing a homeopath is that you can
almost be guaranteed that you will not be harmed by what they give you...sorry I can't say the same about allopathy. And the same with Ayurveda and chinese medicine. And NO, you don't have to have a "doctor" nobody is out there making you see an allopathic physician(although the AMA would like you to think so---but thats all about money and a whole different topic), its all in your hands!!!
As for my opinion I would definitely not hesitate to recommend you visiting any of these "complementary" practitioners. If it was me I would have seen a homeopath or naturopath years ago, but within the last 10 years or so, things have changed for my health nothing short of miracles including my thyroid. Good Luck!!
IMHO

I would like to help you as I have been helped. I suffered for 2 and a half years without my Asthma being under control. Finally, it was after a long 2 months of not being able to breath that my daughter got me into a very great lung specialist! She prescribed to me----Advair 2 times daily; singlar at night time; and a rescue inhaler if needed; also nasones 1 time daily; I can't believe the difference--I can breathe!! hope this helps.

Conflicting answers here...First of all, HYPERthyroidism is the production of TOO MUCH thyroid hormone. It is usually autoimmune in nature (happens when the body attacks your own thyroid gland). This would be called "Graves Disease". There is a genetic component, and we don't know why this happens.
This condition can often be easily treated. I am not aware of "natural" medicine actually helping this condition. In very rare cases, these condition can even reverse itself, for reasons unclear.
Since autoimmune conditions are thought to be caused by a "leaky gut", it would make sense that a special diet may help. However, we don't know what the triggers even are for autoimmune diseases (except for Celiac Disease) like this one, so how can anyone tell you what to cut out? Also, what if it is not a foreign dietary protein your body is letting in that triggers the autoimmune attack, but rather a virus?
Bottom line, try whatever you want, but be prepared to expect to need allopathic medical care to treat your condition. I would not waste too much time "experimenting" with this easily treatable with Western Medicine condition. If this disease could be "cured" with homoeopathy, why is it that no homoeopath has ever actually 100% and permanently cured it?
Unless you want to risk heart damage, strokes, and heart attack due to improperly treated hyperthyroidism, I suggest you don't wait long to see an MD to treat it. That IS the risk of NOT seeing an MD.
If you really want to try homeopathy, find a ND who will work with your MD. If they are qualified, they will do it, and without claiming they can magically cure you. Real doctors are used to working together in teams.
A real Homeopath knows their limits, and would never suggest you give up or delay allopathic medicine if your life is at risk.

The treatments are complementary, which means that you can go ahead and use all of them together, or in any combination without problems. Don't let one practitioner tell you to stop using the others because their way is the only way. Also don't let the natural treatments be your only treatments, since you still need to be seeing a regular medical doctor. It's considered safer to begin with the least intrusive treatments first, see if they help, then if not go on to the more extreme treatments. That way you'll know you've done all you can.
