Is it a technqiue? If so, how does it work?

Any advantages / disadvantages?

This a not really a real technique in tennis but is when you place both hands on your racket to your left (if you are right handed) and jump with your right foot. It requires a lot of energy but is powerful.

haha. I believe it only exists in prince of tennis. just like the swallow return or bear drop or white whale. or tezuka zone. if any of the PoT characters were real life tennis players, the rest of the players like Roger, Nadal, Roddick etc. can forget about playing.

I have heard the expression "knife off towards the ball" . Which means to move towards the ball, when at the the net. You move at an angle or diagonal towards the ball ,so you can hit it before it drops, and have a better chance of putting it away. Not sure that is the answer you are looking for.
