As far as the lagna is aspected by Guru, much of the malefic results produced by other planets get nullified. However there is Shakata Yoga present in his Chart which may make him to forget easily what he learn ed by heart. Therefore it will be advisable to teach him to do meditation in order to gain concentration. Mars maha Dasha is going to start fro October 2007, that will be better than the present Moon Dasha.

Studying will be an effort. Not that he's not smart enough, on the contrary...........he's TOO smart.
He'll have to make an effort to concentrate on things that, frankly, he could care less about and wont ever use.
The system of standardization in education these days does not make room for this kind of learning phenomena and the thing to watch out for are efforts by bureaucrats to stigmatize your son and diagnose him with some dysfunction.
You might go for private school, tutors, private lessons, group study with other "gifted" children etc. Stay away from the normal, run-of-the-mill education systems. And stay away from anyone in a professional position who tries to diagnose your son with some abnormality. Dont buy into it.
The trend is to dumb down everybody and if you let that happen your son's interest in studying will evaporate.
5 planets in the 12th house: he will want to work on his own, do things by himself. He can work with a group when he's worked thru the problem, but getting there will be more likely his solitary effort. Which is not to say he wont ask for help or accept help when offered. It just means he will more than likely test any help against his own results and compare them and keep a mental image of the learning process tucked away.
A highly charged, moral valuation or religious life is not for this one. He will look outside the box of the status quo and tradition. Drugs might be a problem later. Substance abuse might interfere in your own expectations of what shoudl become of him and how he should live his life.
Relationships, love affairs will be many, will be passionate, will be disruptive and most of them wont last. Marriages may occur around career choices, but if and when the career changes, say goodbye to the marriage. Then say "Hello!" to the new one on the heels of the new career.
He could turn out to be rich. Or just as likely he could out to be flatbroke. But not for long. Look for interests in art, music, spirituality, or even education. The best occupations for him will be work that has few contacts with the public: like maybe producers, publishers, things with the internet. He can make money there.
Dont make any long term agreements. Marriages are discouraged any time before he's 40. Keep as much flexibility in the life of this person for as long as possible. The limitations and restrictions, which are inevitable for this one, will come soon enough.

Um none of that honestly matters. Your son's success isn't predetermined depending on his astrological sign and planet alignment. He has the power to do well on his own.
Have some faith.

Sun in Gemini
With the Sun in the mutable air sign of Gemini, your basic attunement is to the level of the mind (symbolized by air). There is a restlessness and a need for variety. You have a
basic urge to extend yourself through a variety of different contacts and relationships. You are usually on the go, and have a natural ability to do two or more things at once. You have a need for constant intellectual stimulation, and welcome the opportunity to express your opinions, which you can do very well on a number of different subjects. The versatility and adaptability of the Sun in Gemini, if taken to extremes, can lead to a superficial knowledge of many subjects, inconsistency, and the tendency to change your tack in mid-course; then back again, then back. You will need to develop the willpower to see a particular course of action through to its conclusion.
Moon in Gemini
With the Moon in this sign, your emotional and instinctive reactions are versatile and adaptable. There is a genuine intellectual ability, and an inner need for constant intellectual and social stimulation in order to feel secure emotionally. There is a need to be involved in several different activities at once, and you find it difficult to settle down to a strict and rigid routine. The inner need for a variety of associations, if uncontrolled, can lead to a constant change in your emotions, making it difficult for even you to know how you really feel. You can give the impression of being fickle and superficial in your emotional responses.
Ascendant Cancer
The cardinal water sign of Cancer was rising at the time of your birth, indicating that you are sensitive and reserved in your approach to others, although you may have learned at an early age to protect your sensitivity behind the hard outer shell of the crab. You have a naturally caring and sympathetic nature, and you like to take care of those who are close to you, you have an instinctive understanding of their emotional needs. This same emotional sensitivity makes you vulnerable, however, since not everybody has the same consideration for your feelings as you have for theirs. You will tend to hide any hurt or emotional pain behind a hard exterior, and to approach situations indirectly rather than risk a direct confrontation. You may have a tendency to cling to any hurt or slight, whether real or imagined, and you will need to learn to accept your sensitive emotional nature and channel it in some positive direction.
Cancer is ruled by the Moon, as the ruler of your Ascendant this planet is of particular importance in your chart.
Sun in 12th House
With the Sun in the 12th house you may feel a pull between the need to establish a clear sense of self-identity and individual uniqueness, and the urge to dissolve individual boundaries in a union with a more mystical and collective reality. You are always vaguely aware that your conscious self is only part of your total being, and that below the surface lie ideas and images that belong to the unconscious levels of the psyche, both individual and collective. You will be very sensitive to vibrations and feelings that surround you, and this may manifest as some form of psychic ability. You may be naturally introspective, but whether this is the case or not, you would certainly benefit from some form of meditation that allows you to get in touch with the deeper levels of your mind. You are very idealistic, but you will need to give some form of self expression to your idealism before you can find your sense of individual purpose.
Venus in 12th House
With Venus in the 12th house of your chart, you will feel a kind of diffuse spiritual love for the whole of humanity which you will find difficult to focus totally on one individual person. It is said that a new-born baby has no consciousness of being a separate individual. Itself and its environment, including other people, are experienced as an unbroken whole. This sense of unity with the whole gradually fades as the individual ego is formed from the combination of experience and inborn potential characteristics. The 12th house, the last in the cycle around the chart, indicates where we seek to regain this lost sense of wholeness, and where the whole still supports and influences us. With Venus in this house, love and human relationships are experienced as an expression of this greater whole, rather than as an ego-centred, personal emotion.
The problem is, you are probably not conscious of where these feelings are coming from, or fully understand your own needs in a relationship. This may lead to confusing conditions in your emotional life, where you tend to idealise others and believe that they have the same feelings about love that you do. As a consequence, you may suffer pain and disappointment at the hands of those for whom love is a personal emotion. Equally, they may suffer pain and disappointment at not feeling that they are "someone special" to you.
