Both her parents are Indian. Her dad was in the Navy and hence was away for months together while her mom stayed at home and raised Aishwarya and her elder brother.
Ash is an incredible personality and as one gets to know more about her, she grows in esteem. She's a strong, independent, successful woman. A perfect synergy of modern day India with good ol' fashioned traditional values.
So to answer your question, yes she's completely Indian. And she's always proud to take the best of her country to the world! She made a really cool appearance on The Oprah Show and draped Oprah in a sari! It was cute!

I believe she's all indian.Aishwarya Rai was born in Mangalore in the state of Karnataka , India to Krishnaraj and Vrinda Rai.
