What do you think of a "bring you own meat" BBQ cook out type of dinner party?

Very good idea. I'd be thrilled to go to a BBQ like that instead of having to eat the cheap hotdogs that most people put out.

good idea!! you don't have to worry about buying expensive meat for all the guests, and you also don't worry about serving something someone doesn't want... some like hotdogs, others burgers, others chicken, some steak... etc. it'd be too expensive to buy all that. and people are usually happier at a party if they liked the food served. good idea and have fun!! ♥

That sounds sort of cheapskate to me. How about bring side dishes or pop/beer? Meat is supposed to be provided by the hosts.

its a great idea, everyone gets together and chips in a dish or two, throwing a party can be expensive, this way you can all get together more often for the same amount of money as feeding yourselves at home, separately. Everyone should do it

Great Idea....I have had bring your own meat parties and gone to them. They work out quite well!!

I don't know about bring your own meat (meat can be expensive). Maybe you should have them bring something else, like a side dish or dessert

if you're on a budget, then YEP, great idea.
its like a byo cept you're bringing the meat
my friends and I do this, each one brings a plate to share and works quite well.

I take mine everywhere I go.. BBQ's especially.. I just dont let it get cooked..
