My girlfriend finished with me 2 weeks ago. Then the other day, she sent me a message to ask if I'd like to go for a drink with her, only as friends,where we could just chat etc. I after thinking long and hard agreed. The problem was that the drink was terrible, she just started having a go at me,basically saying why she finished with me, and that she's seeing a new guy now, who's much 'better'...i just got quite upset...and i admitted rather stupidly that i had strong feeling for her, and that i loved her....she replied...that i didn't mean it...and then i just walked out...about 2 hours after, i got a message saying that she was sorry for all the hurtful stuff she said. i didn't reply. then yesterday, i get another message saying that she wanted to be friends with me, if i wanted to, and she says she thinks it can work.....i haven't replied yet...what should i do...feel like not replying! then today, even tho didnt reply,get other txt 'u could have at least replied'... i havent!!!

Ouch! Sorry for the heartache you're going through. It sounds like she needed to find some closure by telling you what she felt and thought and now that she's gotten that done, in her mind, it's okay for her to be friends with you not taking into consideration how you might still be feeling. If it's too painful to think about, a simple reply that you can't see your way to being friends right now because you are still hurting is in order, at the most, give her that. If you think that at some point in time you can become friends with her, leaving behind the past relationship, then go for it. Personally, I've found that friends with ex's don't always work.

Don't reply to her!!!!! She doesn't deserve anything, especially a reply!!!! That chick is a self-centered control freak and you need to thank your lucky stars that she finished with you 2 weeks ago!! Believe it or not, she did you a favor....... so have some self respect and don't see her again, no matter what!!!! Everything happens for a reason and the reason for this to have happened to you is that you are meant for better things! Be good to yourself and someone wonderful will come into your life, I promise you!!!! Just be patient, and before you know it and when you're least expecting, you'll find a girl that will appreciate you, as long as you love yourself first! Good Luck to you!!!

Don't reply. Especially if you don't feel like it. It will just fuel her abuse. Obviously you are better off without her. I'm sorry that women are so horrible. Good luck to you in the future.

I think u have no any qualities that her dream boy has.So take it so lightly and go with ur future.Because love is not only the only matter in our lives,we had our parents who made us at this level and we must not forget them and make them worry.And finally never agree with her as a friend,because u had loved her.So keep away from her some days that she will know ur value.

Seriously, you need to walk away. Women like this can never be friends with a broken up guy. She will continue to play with your emotions knowing all too well how it effects you JUST LEAVE!!!!!!!

don't reply.....she's already hurt you enough, there is no point in trying to be friends with her when you still have feelings for her and she has moved on to another relationship, just move on otherwise she will continue to keep hurting you if you continue to stay in her life....

don't. You don't need to be belittled by her and even more than that, If she wanted to be free of you, then that's what she has and it needs to be 100% because she obviously only wants to be around you so she can put you down.

reply & ask her why does she want to bother w/ you if she's got a new guy that's SO much better !
Sounds to me like she wants to keep you on the side in case things don't work out w/ the new guy !
Tell her thanks but no thanks & find a new girl.

I think she is just enjoying being able to string you along. Forget her and move on, she obviously doesn't appreciate or respect you.
