TSH is the thyroid stimulating hormone. This is a hormone that helps make the thyroid work. Unfortunately when something goes wrong with the thyroid the TSH level can't give the whole pic of what is going on so the other tests in the thyroid blood panel must be done.

To learn more about this hormone (which your level seems a bit below the norm according to the guidelines implemented in 2003 for TSH levels: normal being 0.3 to 3.0) check out: http://www.thyroid.about.com

Check with your dr to be on the safe side.

TSh is thyroid stimulating hormone secreated by pitituary gland in response to feedback by thyroid harmone. The normal range of TSH is 0.2 - 4.05 .So urs is normal range but this shud be viewed in relation with values of thyroxine harmone that is T 3 & T4. If they r also in normal range than its normal. Less production of thyroid hormone in hypo thyroidism via negative feedback gives signal & pitituary start secreating more of TSH. & in hyperthyroiism the pitiuary secretes less of TSH .So overall result are to be viewed along with TSH ,T3 & T4 called thyroid profile.
