There is acid in your saliva that starts breaking down food when it enters your mouth, therefore it would have the same reaction to sperm. Pre-seed is the only sperm friendly personal lubricant on the market and it has had tons of positive feedback of people having trouble conceiving and getting a positive the first month they used it.

My OB told me that saliva is not good for sperm. She says that it is not sperm friendly and should not be used when trying to conceive....she actually suggested using egg whites as a lube? Sounds crazy but she IS a doctor.

I'm not sure if it kills sperm but I think it interferes with their capability to swim to the egg as do most lubricants. If you need a lubricant try Pre-Seed.
